Job Summary:
The General Accountant is responsible for managing the financial operations of the restaurant, ensuring accurate reporting, cost control, and compliance with accounting standards. The role supports management with financial insights to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including daily sales, expenses, and journal entries

Monitor and reconcile cash, bank accounts, and POS transactions

Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

Control and monitor food & beverage costs, inventory, and wastage
-
Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile inventory variances
-
Ensure proper recording of revenue from all outlets (dine-in, delivery, online platforms)

Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning

Ensure compliance with tax regulations and local financial laws
-
Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits

Monitor payroll entries in coordination with HR

Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial processes
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
-
2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in restaurants or hospitality
-
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting

Experience with accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Odoo, or similar)

Good understanding of inventory and cost control in F&B operations

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
