Job Location: Dubai / Abu Dhabi (Remote Work)

Role

The General Assistant is responsible to support operational and strategic activities. This position plays a key role in ensuring the smooth functioning of Council’s initiatives and outreach programs. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a dynamic, multicultural, and high-impact organization promoting Mexican business interests in the UAE.

Reporting: President of Mexican Business Council Specific Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to the President with scheduling, follow-ups, documentation, and task tracking.
  • Prepare reports, meeting agendas, presentations, and minutes.
  • Maintain organized records, databases, and internal documentation.
  • Research and identify new contacts, companies, and prospects aligned with the Council’s growth strategy.
  • Conduct follow-ups with prospects and coordinate introductory meetings.
  • Maintain the leads and contacts database, ensuring accuracy and updates.
  • Act as a liaison between different missions of the Council (Memberships, Partnerships, Events, Communications).
  • Track cross-functional deliverables and ensure timely completion.
  • Support internal meetings by organizing agendas and follow-up notes.
  • Help maintain the membership database.
  • Assist with onboarding new members and coordinating welcome activities.
  • Coordinate with the accountant for timely issuance and follow-up on invoices.
  • Assist in the planning and logistics of events, webinars, and Council activities.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders including embassies, chambers, and business partners.
  • Support administrative logistics for high-level meetings and public-facing events
  • Confidentiality & Ethics
  • Ensure full compliance with the Company’s Confidentiality policy and Third-Party Non-Solicitation policy which prohibits the sharing or discussion of sensitive information and the earning of fees through third party channels not connected with the Company.
  • Protection of the Company at all times in relation to informational databases, IP, secrets and strategy, as well as sensitive information, all of which may not be discussed with any unauthorised person
  • Ensure all sensitive client and Company information remains confidential and ensure this culture is built across the Branch
  • Ensure any unethical behaviour of any team member is quickly brought to the attention of Senior Management, so that it may be appropriately addressed.

Pre-requisites

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, International Relations, Communications, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in administrative coordination, assistant roles, or client-facing support (ideally in multicultural or nonprofit environments).
  • Excellent organizational skills and follow-through.
  • Clear and professional communication in English (Spanish is a strong plus).
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and CRM/database tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain discretion with sensitive information.
  • Candidates holding their own visa will be given priority

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
