General Counsel

We are seeking a skilled General Counsel to handle disputes, pre-litigation matters, and general legal support for our fast-growing tax firm. This role combines litigation management with broader responsibilities, including legal research, legal risk assessment, and more.

• This position requires a daily presence in the Moore, OK office.

What Will You Do?

• Manage all litigation and pre-litigation matters involving the company.
• Represent the company in legal proceedings, including mediation and arbitration.
• Respond to legal demand letters, subpoenas, and investigations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and settlement agreements.
• Advise leadership on legal risks, disputes, and other matters.
• Oversee outside counsel and manage litigation budgets.
• Support internal investigations and help resolve client or vendor issues.
• Monitor legal and regulatory changes that impact?the business.
• 10 years of litigation experience, preferably in financial services or similar industry.
• Strong background in business litigation and contract negotiation.
• Excellent communication, judgement,?and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle multiple matters and work cross-functionally.

Requirements:

What Do You Need?

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school.
• License to practice in Oklahoma.
• At least ten years of litigation experience, preferably within financial services or a related industry.
• Strong background in business litigation and contract negotiation.
• Excellent communication, judgement,?and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle multiple matters and work cross-functionally.
• Satisfactory background and reference checks including employment verification.

Preferred

• Experience with client service-related disputes.
• In-house litigation experience.
• Employment Law experience.
