General Event Manager

Role Summary

The General Manager is responsible for the full operational and commercial performance of the company, including client acquisition, event execution, and revenue generation, under the strategic guidance of the owner.

This is a revenue-driving role, not just operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Sales (Primary Responsibility)* Identify and approach: * Pharmaceutical companies * Hospitals * Medical associations* Conduct client meetings and presentations* Prepare and present proposals* Close deals and secure contractsTarget:* Minimum 10 client meetings/month* Minimum 2–4 events closed/month

2. Client Relationship Management* Act as main point of contact* Maintain long-term relationships* Ensure repeat business

3. Event Management & Execution* Plan and execute: * Medical conferences * CME events * Symposiums* Oversee: * Venue selection * Vendors * Speakers * Event logistics

4. Financial & Budget Management* Prepare event budgets* Ensure profitability per event* Control costs* Coordinate with owner for approvals

5. Team Management* Supervise admin/part-time staff* Coordinate freelancers* Assign tasks and monitor execution

6. Compliance & Documentation* Ensure events meet medical/CME requirements* Oversee documentation: * Attendance * Reports * Accreditation submissions

7. Reporting to OwnerProvide weekly report including:* Leads generated* Meetings conducted* Deals closed* Revenue pipeline* Operational updates

KPIs (Performance Indicators)

* Monthly revenue generated

* Number of events delivered

* Conversion rate (leads → clients)

* Client satisfaction* Profit margin per event

Required Qualifications

* 3–7 years experience in event management (UAE preferred)

* Experience in medical/pharma events (strong advantage)

* Proven sales ability

*Strong communication & negotiation skills

Compensation Structure

* Fixed Salary: AED 8,000 per month

* Commission: 5%–10% of revenue generated

* Performance bonus (annual)

Contract Terms

* 3-month probation period

* Clear performance targets during probation

* Termination if targets not met

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Abu Dhabi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
