Job Summary

The General Helper (Roll Shop) assists technicians and machinists in daily activities such as material handling, cleaning, tool organization, and basic workshop tasks. This role supports smooth roll shop operations and timely completion of maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist technicians in handling roll components, tools, and materials.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the roll shop area.
• Move parts for machining, assembly, or inspection as instructed.
• Support basic cleaning, scraping, and preparation of components.
• Follow instructions during roll assembly, polishing, or dismantling tasks.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
• Report unsafe conditions or equipment issues to supervisors.

Requirements

• Basic education; prior industrial experience preferred.
• 1–2 years of helper/labor experience in workshops or factories is an advantage.
• Ability to lift and move heavy components.
• Good work ethic, discipline, and ability to follow instructions.
• Physically fit and willing to work in industrial environments.
