Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, hardworking General Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with various physical tasks to support daily operations, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. No advanced experience is required—just a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral Duties
- Perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying, digging, loading/unloading, and moving materials/equipment.
- Clean and prepare job sites, work areas, and equipment before and after use.
- Assist skilled tradespeople (e.g., carpenters, electricians, operators) as directed.
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Operate basic hand and power tools (e.g., shovels, brooms, drills, saws) after proper training.
- Load and unload trucks, organize inventory, and maintain material storage areas.
- Dispose of debris, hazardous materials, and waste according to company and regulatory guidelines.
- Report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or workplace injuries to supervisor immediately.
Industry-Specific Tasks (choose relevant):
- Construction: Dig trenches, mix/pour concrete, erect scaffolding, assist with demolition.
- Warehouse: Palletizing, shrink-wrapping, operating a pallet jack, labeling boxes.
- Manufacturing: Feeding production lines, sorting parts, cleaning machinery, basic assembly.
- Landscaping: Mowing, trimming, planting, hauling brush, operating a leaf blower.
RequirementsPhysical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to [50–100] lbs repeatedly.
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and climb for extended periods (8+ hours/day).
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions or in non-climate-controlled environments.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Experience & Education
- No high school diploma required (preferred but not mandatory).
- Previous labor or trade experience is a plus, but not required (on-the-job training provided).
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in [English / bilingual as needed].
Other Requirements
- Reliable transportation to job sites.
- Must be able to pass a [background check / drug screening / physical exam] if required.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or flexible hours when needed.
Preferred Skills (Not Required)
