General Ledger Accountant

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced GL Accountant with strong exposure to the Food & Beverage (F&B) industry and proven experience handling high transaction volumes. The candidate will be responsible for managing general ledger activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting financial controls across multiple outlets or high-volume operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain general ledger accounts for multi-outlet / high-volume F&B operations
• Post and review high-volume journal entries (daily sales, inventory, COGS, payroll, etc.)
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly revenue reconciliation (POS vs accounting system)
• Reconcile bank accounts, vendor accounts, and balance sheet accounts
• Monitor food cost, beverage cost, and wastage analysis
• Ensure proper accounting of inventory, stock adjustments, and shrinkage
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
• Prepare financial reports including P&L, Balance Sheet, and variance analysis
• Coordinate with operations teams for revenue and expense validation
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations (VAT/GST) and statutory requirements
• Support internal and external audits

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3–6 years of GL accounting experience
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in F&B, hospitality, or restaurant industry
• Experience handling high transaction volumes and multi-branch accounting
• Strong knowledge of revenue recognition and inventory accounting
• Advanced MS Excel skills
