General Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and versatile General Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance tasks across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building systems. Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems, machinery, and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
• Perform mechanical repairs, including welding and working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to support manufacturing or facility operations.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as plumbing repairs, HVAC servicing, and residential painting projects.
• Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks.
• Supervise or assist with subcontractors or team members during complex repairs or projects, demonstrating leadership and ensuring safety compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, safety inspections, and equipment status to support ongoing facility management.

Experience

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related roles within manufacturing or residential environments.
• Strong electrical experience with the ability to interpret schematics and work safely with electrical systems.
• Mechanical knowledge including welding skills and familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
• Experience reading schematics and using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical issues.
• Supervising or leadership experience in maintenance teams or projects is preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English across diverse teams.
