Role Overview:

The General Manager will lead the overall operations, business development, and strategic direction of the interior design consultancy. This role requires strong leadership, client relationship management, and a deep understanding of design processes, project management, and consultancy services. The GM will ensure profitability, quality delivery, and growth of the company in line with its vision.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement business strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Oversee company operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance with industry standards.
  • Drive innovation and maintain competitive positioning in the market.

Business Development

  • Identify new business opportunities and build relationships with developers, architects, and contractors.
  • Lead proposal development, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations.
  • Represent the company at industry events and networking forums.

Project Oversight

  • Ensure timely and quality delivery of interior design consultancy projects.
  • Monitor project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Resolve escalated client issues and maintain high customer satisfaction.

Team Management

  • Recruit, mentor, and manage design and project management teams.
  • Foster a collaborative and creative work environment.
  • Set performance goals and conduct regular evaluations.

Financial Management

  • Prepare annual budgets and monitor financial performance.
  • Optimize operational costs and improve profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with financial and legal regulations.

Quality & Compliance

  • Maintain adherence to design standards, building codes, and sustainability practices.
  • Implement quality assurance processes across all projects.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Interior Design, Architecture, or Business Management.
  • Experience: Minimum 10–15 years in interior design consultancy, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of design principles, project management, and client servicing.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proven track record in business development and financial management.
