Job Description

As the General Manager for the Australian operations, you will be a commercially astute and hands on leader with experience in industrial, building products, B2B, or related sectors. You will lead and manage the Australian business across sales, operations, and supply chain. You will also lead and manage the overall operations and strategic direction of the business in Australia.

Other key responsibilities will include the following:

  • Driving commercial growth and customer engagement across B2B channels.
  • Identifying market opportunities and lead the development of new business initiatives.
  • Developing and lead a high performing, accountable team culture. This also includes mentoring and supporting the leadership team to achieve their objectives.
  • Strengthening relationships with OEMs, distributors, and large installers.
  • Implementing KPIs aligned with a clear business vision and strategic goals.
  • Improving operational efficiency and inventory management.
  • Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
The Successful Applicant

The successful applicant should have the following:

  • Proven leadership experience ideally within the B2B building related industries (e.g., air conditioning, windows, doors etc), B2B or industrial or manufacturing sectors.
  • Previous experience working within a local subsidiary of a MNC would be advantageous.
  • Exposure to mid sized businesses with both technical and commercial responsibilities.
  • A strong background in strategic planning, sales and operational management.
  • Exceptional financial acumen and budget management skills.
  • Experience in driving business growth and managing change effectively.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • A commitment to fostering a collaborative and results driven team culture.
