Job Summary:

The General Manager of Medical Affairs will lead the medical affairs strategy at Ajanta, focusing on providing robust medico-marketing support and facilitating collaboration between the medical and marketing teams. This role will encompass the development of medical materials, training programs, and evaluation of new products, ensuring alignment with the company's business goals and compliance with regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Medico-Marketing Support: o Provide medical references and data to support product positioning and new product research and development (NPD).

2. Marketing Collaboration: o Support the marketing team with regular inputs and strategic advice on promotional activities to ensure accurate messaging and compliance.

3. Material Preparation: o Prepare comprehensive product manuals, product monographs, and training slides to enhance understanding and communication of product benefits.

4. CME Development: o Develop and prepare Continuing Medical Education (CME) slides and materials to support ongoing education initiatives.

5. Product Evaluation: o Evaluate new product ideas and presentations, providing insights and recommendations to the marketing and business development teams.

6. Training Sessions: o Conduct medical training sessions for field staff to ensure they are well-informed about products and therapeutic areas.

7. Clinical Study Participation: o Actively participate in clinical studies to gather relevant data and insights that inform medical affairs strategies.

8. Competitive Analysis: o Conduct evaluations of competitors’ new products and strategies, providing analysis to inform company positioning and development efforts.

9. Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging science to provide insights that drive strategic decisions.

10. Budget Management: Develop and manage the budget for the medical affairs department, ensuring efficient use of resources.

11. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, and relevant organizations to enhance scientific communication and brand credibility.


Qualifications:

• Education: Advanced degree in life sciences (MBBS, MD) or equivalent.

• Experience: Minimum of 15 years in medical affairs or related fields, with a focus on marketing support and product evaluation.

• Knowledge: Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, clinical development processes, and the therapeutic landscape relevant to the company’s products.

• Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively across teams and influence stakeholders. • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to assess data and inform strategic decisions. Preferred

• Familiarity with developing training programs and CME materials.
