Job Summary
The General Manager – Civil Construction having an experience of 15 years and above will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end construction operations, ensuring timely delivery of projects within budget, quality standards, and safety regulations. The role involves strategic planning, team leadership, financial control, client coordination, and overall business growth within the construction division.
Key Responsibilities Strategic & Operational Management
- Lead and manage multiple civil construction projects (residential, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure) simultaneously.
- Develop and implement project execution strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and quality benchmarks.
- Drive continuous improvement in construction methods, productivity, and cost efficiency.
Project Planning & Execution
- Review project designs, BOQs, contracts, and schedules prior to execution.
- Monitor project progress, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Resolve critical technical, contractual, and operational issues.
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and statutory norms.
Financial & Commercial Control
- Prepare and control annual budgets, project cost forecasts, and cash flow.
- Monitor project profitability and control cost overruns.
- Oversee billing, claims, variations, and contract negotiations.
- Coordinate with procurement teams for cost-effective sourcing of materials and subcontractors.
Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop project managers, engineers, and site teams.
- Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability and results.
- Conduct performance reviews and support talent development initiatives.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, consultants, and government authorities.
- Ensure strong client relationships and high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Represent the company in project meetings, reviews, and negotiations.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to quality management systems and construction standards.
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies across all sites.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, legal, and regulatory requirements.
Business Development Support
- Support management in tendering, bidding, and pre-contract planning.
- Provide technical and commercial inputs for new projects and expansion plans.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and business growth.

Educational Qualifications
