Position Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic General Manager to lead energy distribution and service operations in a local market. This role is perfect for a people-focused leader who thrives on building strong teams, driving growth, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

What you will do:

As General Manager, you’ll be the face of Dead River Company in your market. You’ll lead managers and frontline employees, ensuring operations run smoothly, safely, and profitably—all while creating a culture of service and sales excellence.

Essential Functions:

  • Direct day-to-day field operations and empower your team to achieve operational and financial goals.
  • Build strong community relationships, grow market presence, and promote company sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Champion customer satisfaction and elevate the customer experience
  • Collaborate with leadership to resolve customer challenges and employee issues with fairness and sound judgment.
  • Oversee budgets, analyze financial performance, and take action to drive profitability.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent, providing coaching, feedback, and clear performance expectations.
  • Advocate for safety across all operations, setting the standard for a safe and supportive work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

What We’re Looking For:

We want a hands-on leader who knows how to inspire a team while keeping operations efficient and customers happy.

You’ll succeed in this role if you have:

  • At least 4 years of leadership experience, with energy industry or full-service operations experience strongly preferred.
  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong decision-making and communication skills, with the ability to handle complex situations confidently.
  • Proven success in budget management, financial analysis, and performance management.
