ob Title: General Practitioner – Emergency Room (GP ER)

Job Summary

We are seeking a competent and dedicated General Practitioner – Emergency Room (GP ER) to provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries. The ideal candidate will be experienced in emergency medicine, capable of working in a fast-paced environment, and compliant with DHA regulations and clinical protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide immediate assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients presenting to the Emergency Room.
• Manage acute medical and surgical emergencies, trauma cases, and life-threatening conditions.
• Perform emergency procedures including suturing, intubation, basic life support (BLS), and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) as required.
• Stabilize patients and arrange referrals or admissions to appropriate specialties.
• Order and interpret diagnostic investigations such as laboratory tests, X-rays, CT scans, and ECGs.
• Prescribe medications and treatment plans in line with approved clinical guidelines.
• Maintain accurate and complete medical records in accordance with DHA and hospital policies.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in emergency drills, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical audits.
• Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and ethical standards at all times.

Qualifications & Requirements

• MBBS with Diploma or certification in ER
• Valid DHA license or eligibility to obtain DHA licensure as a GP.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Emergency Room or acute care settings (UAE experience preferred).
• Valid BLS and ACLS certification (ATLS preferred).
