Generator Technician

Location: Qatar
Availability: Must be currently in Qatar with a valid QID
Experience Required: Minimum 4 years in Generator Maintenance & Troubleshooting

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Generator Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have solid hands-on experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing diesel generator systems. You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and operational readiness of our generator fleet across various sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance for diesel generators (all capacities).
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues.
• Carry out corrective repairs including engine, alternator, radiator, and fuel system work.
• Inspect, test, and verify generator performance to ensure proper operation.
• Conduct load testing, battery inspections, and controller parameter checks.
• Respond to breakdowns promptly and ensure minimal downtime.
• Maintain accurate service reports, checklists, and maintenance records.
• Ensure compliance with HSE procedures and site safety protocols.
• Coordinate with team leaders, supervisors, and clients as required.

Requirements:

• Must be currently residing in Qatar with a valid QID.
• Minimum 4 years of proven experience in diesel generator maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of generator engines, alternators, fuel systems, cooling systems, and control panels.
• Experience with major generator brands (e.g., KOHLER, CAT, FG Wilson, Perkins, Volvo, Cummins) is an advantage.
• Ability to diagnose faults independently and execute repairs professionally.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and control circuits.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and service manuals.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Immediate joiners preferred.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 36 months

Pay: QAR3,000.00 - QAR4,000.00 per month
