General Manager / Head – Sales & Business Development (Automotive)

Qualification: B.Tech (Mechanical)
Experience: 25+ years

Key Responsibilities / KRAs

  • Drive Annual Business Plans and ensure year-on-year growth as per company targets.
  • Lead Business Expansion, Customer Development, and Business Promotion initiatives.
  • Manage RFQ process – ensure timely quotations with best cost in coordination with Engineering and Cost Estimators.
  • Handle RFQ Management, Contract Discussions & Negotiations with customers.
  • Establish and achieve sales objectives, including forecasting, developing annual quotas, and defining quarterly and annual plans.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer expectations to define strategies.
  • Determine pricing strategies by monitoring costs, competition, and supply-demand dynamics.
  • Build, manage, and strengthen long-term automotive customer relationships at all levels.
  • Ensure MIS reporting for Sales, Growth, and Business Development activities.
  • Support closure of financial/economic issues, warranty concerns, delivery & quality issues in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Manage customer payments and collections as per company norms.
  • Support business plan gap closure tracking and analysis with Finance & Engineering teams.
  • Drive action plans for identifying new business opportunities aligned with organizational growth targets.
  • Provide commercial management support for assigned programs, including pricing, documentation, and financial controls.
  • Lead, train, and retain a high-performing sales/business development team.

Pay: ₹4,875,980.82 per year
