Position Summary:

The General Manager (Operations) will be responsible for planning, managing, and executing all new industrial and infrastructure projects of the organization, ensuring their timely completion within approved cost and quality parameters. The role requires strong project management expertise, operational acumen, and established liaison with government and regulatory departments to proactively address approvals, NOCs, and other administrative requirements. The incumbent will serve as a key member of the senior management team, directly reporting to the Managing Director.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Execution

  • Lead the planning, execution, and completion of new manufacturing and infrastructure projects from concept to commissioning.
  • Develop detailed project plans, budgets, and timelines in alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, finance, and technical teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Monitor project progress and take corrective measures to address delays or resource constraints.

Government Liaison & Approvals

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with government departments, regulatory authorities, and local bodies.
  • Secure timely approvals, clearances, and NOCs required for projects.
  • Resolve bottlenecks or delays through proactive engagement and follow-up with relevant offices.
  • Represent the company in official meetings, hearings, and inspections as required.

Operational Oversight

  • Oversee the implementation of operational strategies for new and existing units to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure adherence to company standards, policies, and regulatory compliance during project execution.
  • Conduct periodic site visits and ensure all work is being carried out in accordance with safety and quality standards.

Strategic & Administrative Coordination

  • Provide regular progress reports and project updates to the Managing Director.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making related to capacity expansion, diversification, and modernization.
  • Lead cross-functional coordination between departments to ensure alignment of project and operational goals.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or Business Administration.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in project management and operations, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial group.
  • Proven experience in handling government liaison, regulatory matters, and external coordination.
  • Strong understanding of project planning, budgeting, and execution methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs500,000.00 - Rs800,000.00 per month
