GM Plant / Head of Plant

Location: Nooriabad, Sindh, Pakistan

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Job Purpose:

The Head of Factory will be responsible for leading and managing all operations of Pinnacle Fiber’s manufacturing plant. This role will act as the single point of accountability for the plant, ensuring safe, efficient, compliant, and cost-effective production of recycled polyester staple f iber (PSF).

The incumbent will oversee all factory HODs (Production, Maintenance, E&I, Utilities, Inventory/Warehousing, Quality, Compliance, HSE, & Admin at site) and align them towards operational excellence. The position is critical to transition day-to-day operational control from the CEO to a professional Factory Head.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Leadership:
• Lead and manage all plant operations including Production, Utilities, Engineering & Maintenance, E&I, Inventory, and Compliance.
• Ensure continuous production, optimized capacity utilization, and minimal downtime.
• Develop and enforce production planning aligned with sales demand.

Efficiency & Cost Optimization:

• Drive improvement in OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
• Implement preventive & predictive maintenance programs.
• Monitor energy and utility usage; optimize efficiency and cost per ton of fiber.

Quality & Compliance:

• Ensure product meets required standards
• Lead internal and external audits
• Maintain zero non-conformance culture in quality and safety.

Safety & Environment:

• Champion HSE standards across the factory.
• Ensure compliance with national regulations and sustainability certifications.
• Foster a strong safety-first culture on the shop floor.

People & Leadership:

• Manage, mentor, and develop all factory HODs.
• Build strong accountability and reporting systems.
• Promote teamwork, continuous improvement, and problem-solving culture.

Reporting & Coordination:

• Provide weekly/monthly performance dashboards to CEO.
• Coordinate with corporate functions (Finance, HR, Supply Chain, Sales) to align factory output with business goals.
• Lead new projects, expansions, and technology upgrades.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Production efficiency.
• OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
• Downtime reduction
• Cost per ton of fiber produced.

• Compliance audit scores Qualifications & Experience

Education:

• BE / M.E in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering. MBA is a plus.

Experience:

• 15–25 years in manufacturing industries, with at least 5 years as Plant Head / GM Operations / Factory Manager/Technical Head.

Industry Preference:

• Polyester fiber / PET resin / rPSF (best fit).
• Polymer, chemical, petrochemical (second option).
• Large-scale textile spinning / continuous process industry (alternative option).

Proven leadership in managing multi-disciplinary teams and large industrial operations.
