Golf Shop Attendant

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome visitors, golfers, and members as they enter the golf shop, providing friendly and courteous assistance.
• Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about golf course facilities, services, and programs.
• Manage tee time reservations, golf cart rentals, and equipment bookings using the golf course management system or reservation software.
• Process retail transactions for golf merchandise, apparel, equipment rentals, and other products, ensuring accuracy and efficiency at the point of sale.
• Assist customers with product selection, sizing, and fitting, providing knowledgeable recommendations and personalized service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the golf shop retail area, including merchandise displays, shelves, and product signage.
• Monitor inventory levels, restock merchandise, and assist with inventory counts and reconciliation as needed.
• Assist in receiving and inspecting incoming merchandise shipments, verifying accuracy and quality of products received.
• Coordinate with golf shop staff, golf professionals, and other departments to ensure seamless operations and exceptional customer service.
• Assist with administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and record-keeping, to support the efficient operation of the golf shop.

The manager is authorized to assign the employee to any task within the department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of golf terminology, equipment, and apparel is advantageous.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using computer systems, POS (point of sale) software, and reservation systems.
