Below are the preferred candidate requirements:

  • Retired with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel or below from the Ministry of Defense, Royal Oman Police, or Armed Forces (Army/Navy)
  • Experience in management and operations
  • Omani nationality
  • Proficiency in the English language

Purpose of Job:

Being a corporate representative of the company in fostering dialogue between authorities, Spearhead efforts to build client rapport and organizations, drive revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives and marketing products and services.

Manage client relationships, identify new business opportunities in the Defense sector and coordinate within the organization developing solutions to resolve challenges with customer(s).

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

1. Engage with potential government entities to support in the development of business strategies, build businesses pipeline and to convert opportunities to successful sales achievements.

2. Provide updates to management on the opportunities for potential government entities.

3. Facilitate communication and coordinate activities between the organization and external entities, including government agencies, community groups, and other stakeholders.

4. Represent, manage and strengthen relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

5. Coordinate with the management to negotiate agreements and resolve conflicts between the organization and external parties to ensure mutual satisfaction and compliance with legal and organizational standards.

6. Provide expert advice and guidance to the organization’s leadership on public relations matters, stakeholder expectations, and community concerns.

7. Organize and manage outreach programs and initiatives aimed at promoting the organization’s presence and fostering positive relationships with the community and other relevant entities.

8. Analyze and report on trends, public sentiment, and regulatory changes that could impact the organization, advising on appropriate response strategies.

9. Coordinate the exchange of information and resources between departments within the organization to support collaborative projects and ensure consistency in external communications.

10. Drafting correspondence reports and tracking important communications to report to Sr Management.

11. Coordinate with the Company to distribute press announcements in a public setting to improve and strengthen company image.

Maintains and implement safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.

Principal Challenges:

1. Managing the company’s image and reputation effectively to ensure positive sentiment

2. Navigating complex government procedures, regulations and compliance requirements in a competing environment.

3. Mitigating conflicting stakeholders’ requirements.

Minimum Academic / Professional Qualification:

A graduate in Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration or a related area.

Minimum Work Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in the government with a background in defense, maritime and security is a plus.
