Job Summary:
We are seeking a well-organized and detail-oriented Assistant to support our engineering/contracting/consulting team with submissions through Dubai Municipality and other UAE government portals. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in dealing with government submission procedures and a solid understanding of construction or engineering consultancy practices in the UAE.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, compile, and submit documents and drawings to Dubai Municipality (DM) and other relevant UAE government authorities (e.g., Trakhees, DDA, RTA, DEWA, Civil Defense, etc.)
- Track and follow up on submission status, resubmissions, approvals, and rejections.
- Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and contractors to ensure submission packages are complete and compliant with regulations.
- Maintain detailed records of all submissions, approvals, and communications with authorities.
- Handle portal logins, technical issues, and updates related to submission platforms.
- Ensure all documentation complies with UAE building codes, regulations, and municipality requirements.
- Liaise with project teams to ensure submission timelines are met.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes or updates from government authorities.
- Assist in preparing NOCs, completion certificates, and other official documentation.
- Provide administrative support related to project compliance and approvals.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within the UAE, preferably in a contracting or consulting firm.
- Strong experience with Dubai Municipality (DM) submission systems and other UAE government portals (e.g., Trakhees, DDA, RTA, etc.).
- Familiarity with AutoCAD drawings, project documentation, and technical submission requirements.
- Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
- Highly organized and capable of handling multiple submissions and deadlines.
- Proficient in MS Office and able to use online portal systems effectively.
- Knowledge of UAE construction regulations, permitting processes, and authority workflows.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
- Experience in authority approvals, permits, and design drawing coordination.
- UAE driving license (optional but preferred).
