We are seeking Government Relations Manager, reporting to the Head of HR, who will lead all government-related processes, licensing activities, labor and immigration matters, and regulatory coordination across the business for Independent Food Company in the UAE. This role will act as the primary liaison between the company and UAE government authorities, including but not limited to, ensuring full compliance with labor, immigration, licensing, and corporate regulations - while supporting business continuity and expansion initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main liaison between the company and UAE government authorities including MOHRE, GDRFA, ICP, DED, Dubai Municipality, DHA, RTA, FTA, Chambers of Commerce, and Free Zones.
- Manage all visa, immigration, labor, and government-related processes including employment visas, labor permits, Emirates ID, renewals, cancellations, and onboarding formalities.
- Oversee trade licenses, company registrations, regulatory approvals, tenancy contracts, and operational permits across mainland and free zone entities.

Advise leadership on GR-related regulatory risks, compliance requirements, and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with UAE labor laws, immigration regulations, WPS, Emiratization, pension requirements, and other statutory obligations.
- Maintain strong relationships with government entities, represent the company in official meetings, and support inspections, audits, and regulatory matters.
- Monitor regulatory updates, advise management on compliance risks, and improve government-related processes and documentation.
- Supervise PRO activities, prepare official correspondence and supporting documents, and coordinate with HR, Finance, Legal, and Operations on government matters.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 7 years of experience in Government Relations, PRO, or Corporate Services roles within the UAE.

Hands-on experience with platforms such as MOHRE, GDRFA, ICP, Dubai Trade, UAE Pass, TAMM, Tasheel, and related government portals.

Experience managing trade licenses and multi-entity regulatory compliance.
- Strong relationships with UAE government authorities and external stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluency Arabic is required, in addition to English.
