As Shamal Holding continues to grow, we re in search of a strong>Government Relations Officer/strong>.

In this role you will be responsible for providing support related to government required transactions for all employees and their dependents. The GRO will manage a wide range of tasks, including visa processing, documentation maintenance, and liaison with government entities to ensure compliance with local regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Visa and Residency Management
  • End-to-End Processing: Manage the complete lifecycle of all visa applications, renewals, and cancellations for employees and their dependents, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Complex Case Resolution: Independently handle more complex cases, such as those involving medical test issues, security checks, or special permit requirements, escalating to management only when necessary.
  • Golden Visa Support: Take the lead in guiding and supporting eligible employees through the entire Golden Visa application process, acting as their primary point of contact.

Financial Management & Compliance

  • Financial Oversight: Monitor and manage the financial aspects of visa and residency processes, including tracking government fees, managing petty cash related to PRO services, and ensuring all expenses are accurately recorded for departmental budgeting.
  • Compliance & Risk Mitigation: Conduct regular audits of all government-related documentation and processes to ensure full compliance with UAE labor laws and immigration regulations. Proactively identify and report any potential financial risks or compliance issues to senior management.
  • Pension Management: Oversee the end-of-month pension applications through the GPSAA portal, ensuring all records are accurate and submitted on time to avoid financial penalties or delays.

Liaison and Administration

  • Primary Point of Contact: Serve as the main point of contact for employees regarding all government and immigration-related inquiries, providing clear and reliable information.
  • Government Liaison: Act as the primary liaison with government departments and immigration authorities, building effective working relationships to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Onboarding and Offboarding Support: Manage all government-related documentation for both new hires and exiting employees, ensuring a smooth and compliant process.
  • PRO Team Support: Provide senior-level backup and guidance to the existing PRO, helping to ensure smooth operations and business continuity.
