Government Relations Specialist

JOB PURPOSE: The Government Relations Specialist is responsible for coordinating and managing all activities related to public authorities, ensuring a smooth administration process. This includes visa processing, trade license issues, legal permits, sponsorship relations, and interactions with ministries (Labor, Immigration, Health, etc.).


RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Participate in continuously improving related processes and procedures to ensure optimal customer service in the department.

- Submit requests for issuance and renewal of all legal permits (municipality, advertisement signage, sale permits, commerce, fire department, civil information, health, etc.), and follow up with the appropriate public authorities to ensure timely issuance.

- Build and maintain a strong network of relations with government employees to facilitate efficient processing of requests.

- Process employees’ National Social Security registrations or end-of employment procedures. Schedule monthly payments of family allowances and ensure deadlines are met with governmental departments.

- Submit all updated salaries to the government in the appropriate format as required. - Follow up on visa issuance and cancellation, work permits, residence permits, social security (where applicable), and repatriation documents to ensure they are promptly processed through appropriate authorities.

- Execute the entire statutory license application process for all new stores, either directly or through third parties, and maintain relationships with all statutory bodies upon completion.


Qualification:

-Fluency in English and Arabic.

-Proficiency in MS Office.

-Relevant knowledge of labor law and visa processes.

-High school degree.

-Two to four years of experience in Administration, or a similar role.
