Job Title: Groundskeeper

Reports to: Ground Superintendent

Department: Golf Course Maintenance Department

Location: Union League National (1765 US-9, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210)

Description:

Union League National Golf Club is seeking individuals who enjoy working outdoors in a landscape maintenance atmosphere. The Golf Course Maintenance Department is responsible for the maintenance of an 27-hole golf course, and two properties located in Avalon and Stone Harbor. No experience in golf course maintenance is required. All job duties can be taught.

Applicants Must Be:

• Physically fit and able to move quickly from place to place
• Capable of walking 5-7 miles per day at a brisk walking pace
• Self-motivated and able to demonstrate a sense of urgency
• Capable of following detailed instructions
• Willing to work in varying climatic conditions including rainy, cold and hot weather
• Punctual and have reliable transportation

Applicants Can Expect:

• Workdays vary, 5:00am – 2:00pm. Your desired schedule will be considered.
• Work 40 hours per week, overtime available
• Seasonal employment March 16th – November 27th
• Work holidays as needed. Employees who work on a company-recognized holiday will receive additional holiday pay in accordance with company policy.
• Work one day every weekend (Saturday or Sunday)
• Properly and safely operate lawn mowers, string trimmers, back pack blowers, shovels, rakes and other lawn care type of equipment
• Maintain and use equipment as if you owned it personally
• Keep a clean, organized and safe work area
• Communicate well and work well with other team members
• Complete job tasks in a timely manner with detail and quality

Benefits and Compensation:

• $17.00 per hour
