Position Summary

The groundskeeper will be responsible for the overall care of lawn, shrubs, trees, weeds, debris, painting of curbs and poles, snow removal, cleanliness of garage doors, manway doors and windows. Empty garbage cans throughout the parking lot.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lawn care
• Garbage disposal
• Keeping terminal free of debris
• Snow removal
• Weekly fire extinguisher inspection
• Keep exterior of building clean and other adhoc duties as needed

Job Requirements

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience maintaining properties and prior experience using equipment required to maintain the properties

Essential Qualifications:

• Communicate with terminal manager
• Be responsible for the upkeep of the lawn
• Be proactive with snow removal

Language Skills

• Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently

Physical Demands:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
• May be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to feel; reach with hand and arms, and stoop, kneel or crouch as needed.
• Specific vision requirements include the ability to see at close range, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to lift equipment needed to perform the job
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely
• Ability to operate in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

Work Environment:

• The position typically operates in an outside environment
• This position routinely uses lawn equipment such as riding lawn mowers, weed trimmers and during the winter months, snow shovels, snow blowers and truck plows

Salary Range:

Disclaimer: The salary range for this position is $18.00 to $20.00 hourly. This range is based on market data and internal equity. The final offer will be determined by various factors, including the candidates experience, education, skills, qualifications, and geographic location.
