At Beauty and the Beach, we work together as a team. We help one another, support each other through hard times, celebrate each other's triumphs, and work hard to bring beautiful hair to our wonderful community. Our culture creates an amazing, positive work environment. No more taking the worry home. Someone will have your back, you will never be alone nor will anyone throw you under the bus.

The salon has been in existence for over 40 years, changing ownership through the stylists that work here. Beauty and the Beach has been here for about 8 years, before that Shear Perfection. We have incredible reviews with our clients and summer visitors alike.

If you are looking for a place to call HOME, somewhere you can work until you retire, this is your salon. No crazy owners, no catty stylists trying to steal clients from your chair. Drama is unwelcome and we don't foster that kind of environment. We have a calm, clean, relaxed atmosphere. We are all totally different in styles, yet work toward the common goal of making our absolutely wonderful clients happy. We are so lucky to have some of the most amazing people in our chairs.

We have an amazing team and we need some more amazing people to join us. Creativity, passion, and a desire to educate yourself further is desired. We are busy year-round, but will soon be so busy we will have to turn people away.

Dress code is simple. Wear what makes you comfortable as long as it's appropriate. Jeans and sneakers are perfectly acceptable or dress up if it makes you feel good. Nothing offensive or excessively revealing is allowed, nor are sweatpants.

Must have a valid MA cosmetology license.

Salon is open Tuesday-Saturday, part time or full time. Most of our products are Matrix, including our color and perms, though we do use Redken Shades EQ.

This is a commission position. Guaranteed hourly wage, plus tips. Compensation to commensurate with experience. Bring your clientele and settle in to your new home. Booth rental may be considered for the right person.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to clients, ensuring a welcoming salon experience.
• Perform hair styling services, including cutting, coloring, and hair extensions, while adhering to sanitation standards.
• Utilize salon software for appointment scheduling and client management.
• Mentor junior stylists and assist with front desk operations as needed.
• Stay updated on current trends and techniques in cosmetology and barbering.
• Clean and maintain salon up to state board specifications.
• Be reliable and trustworthy!

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 40 per week
