Coffee Leadership & Quality Assurance

• Set and maintain specialty coffee standards across all beverages.
• Lead daily calibration, recipe development, and quality checks.
• Innovate new coffee-based beverages, seasonal drinks, and menu enhancements.
• Ensure consistency in flavor, presentation, and service.

Team Training & Development

• Train, mentor, and evaluate baristas and junior team members.
• Organize cuppings, workshops, and regular performance feedback sessions.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and coffee passion within the team.

Operational & Shift Management

• Manage bar operations, ensuring efficiency and speed during peak times.
• Lead opening and closing procedures, delegating responsibilities effectively.
• Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage stock rotation.
• Ensure hygiene, food safety, and health & safety compliance.

Customer Engagement

• Build strong relationships with regulars and educate customers about specialty coffee.
• Handle escalated customer concerns and ensure a welcoming, premium café atmosphere.
• Represent the café brand as a coffee ambassador at events, collaborations, or competitions.

Equipment & Maintenance

• Oversee care and calibration of espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment.
• Coordinate with management for servicing, upgrades, or replacements.
• Troubleshoot technical issues to minimize downtime.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 4–6 years of specialty coffee experience, with at least 2 years as a Head Barista.
• Advanced knowledge of coffee origins, processing, brewing methods, and latte art.
• Strong leadership, training, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage workflow, lead teams, and deliver under pressure.
• Passionate about coffee trends, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Valid UAE Driving License – must be willing to travel between branches for quality checks, training, and operational support.
