Role Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve exceptional espresso-based drinks, brewed coffee, and signature beverages with consistency.
- Dial in espresso and calibrate grinders daily to maintain quality standards.
- Master latte art and brewing methods (V60, Chemex, AeroPress, etc.).
- Monitor and uphold specialty coffee standards for flavor, presentation, and speed.
- Deliver warm, personalized service, engaging with customers to share knowledge of coffee origins, tasting notes, and brewing processes.
- Handle customer feedback professionally and ensure satisfaction.
- Foster a welcoming and memorable café atmosphere.
- Mentor and train Junior Baristas, guiding them in coffee knowledge, service skills, and café procedures.
- Support management in developing the café team through workshops and tastings.
- Take responsibility for shift leadership, delegating tasks to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist in café opening and closing procedures, ensuring operational efficiency.
- Monitor inventory, restock supplies, and report shortages.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, equipment, and café space.
- Conduct basic maintenance and troubleshooting of espresso machines and grinders.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 4–6 years of experience as a barista in a specialty café.
- Strong knowledge of coffee origins, processing, brewing methods, and latte art.
- Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and train junior staff.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to handle peak service times while maintaining quality and composure.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
