Leadership and training
- Train and mentor new and existing baristas on techniques, recipes, and customer service standards.
- Manage shift schedules to ensure adequate staffing.
- Supervise baristas, assign tasks, and foster a positive team environment.
- Provide ongoing staff training and motivation related to coffee and drinks.
Coffee expertise and quality control
- Ensure the consistent preparation of high-quality coffee and other beverages according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain and calibrate espresso machines, grinders, and other equipment.
- Perform routine cleaning of equipment and the work area.
- Develop and implement new coffee recipes and menu items.
Operational duties
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, including ordering stock and rotating products.
- Ensure the coffee bar and surrounding areas are clean, hygienic, and safe at all times.
- Handle cash, operate the POS system, and sometimes manage closing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and company policies.
Customer experience
- Act as a brand ambassador and set a positive tone for customer interactions.
- Engage with customers, answer questions, and make recommendations.
- Resolve customer complaints regarding quality or service.
Health & Safety
- Overseeing the maintenance of kitchen and food safety standards.
- Store food products in compliance with safety practices and HACCP.
- Maintain Top Hygienic environment at the store.
- Communicate with legal and safety department to ensure all processes remain compliant withgovernmental regulations.
