Job Overview

The Head Coach is responsible for the strategic leadership, development, and operational delivery of the school’s swimming programme, ensuring high-quality coaching, inclusivity, and student progress across all levels.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Lead and plan the coaching of Team Falcons Swim Squads during both before-

school and after-school training sessions.

2. Lead and organise swimming meets for Team Falcons Swim Squads, including

athlete selection, meet entries, and clear communication with parents and relevant

stakeholders.

3. Plan and deliver safe, engaging, and effective swim lessons for students of all

ages and ability levels, both during curriculum time and as part of Absolute

Swimming and after-school programme.

4. Monitor and evaluate student progress regularly, making instructional adjustments

to ensure optimal learning outcomes and athlete development.

5. Communicate effectively with parents, school leadership, and relevant

stakeholders to provide regular updates on the swim programme, student

progress, and upcoming events.

6. Lead the quality assurance process for all swim staff to ensure consistent, high-

quality teaching and coaching across the programme.

7. Work alongside PE and Sports Department leadership to ensure all policies, risk

assessments, and operational processes are being followed effectively.

8. Create and maintain a welcoming, inclusive, and positive environment for students,

staff, parents, and the wider school community.

9. Support with the recruitment, onboarding, and professional development of swim

staff, ensuring the team meets school and programme standards.

10. Oversee the organisation, maintenance, and safe use of swimming facilities and

equipment in collaboration with the Facilities Team.

11. Promote a culture of excellence, teamwork, and sportsmanship within the swim

squads.

12. Attend relevant meetings and contribute to the broader development of the

school’s PE and sports provision.

13. Carry out any other duties reasonably required to support the delivery and

development of the swimming programme.

14. Reporting: The Head Coach is responsible to report to Director of Operations & Academy Manager.

Skills:

· Customer Service and Relationship Management:

Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service and build strong relationships with members and participants.

· Confidentiality:

Maintains confidentiality in handling sensitive information related to members, staff, and organizational matters.

· Confidence and Relationship Development:

Confidently engages with members and participants, fostering positive relationships and creating a welcoming environment for all.

· Excellent Time Management:

Demonstrates strong time management skills to plan and coordinate swimming sessions efficiently, maximizing productivity and participant engagement.

· Effective Communication:

Communicates clearly and effectively with members, staff, and stakeholders, ensuring everyone is informed and engaged in the swimming programme's activities and developments.

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

Swim England Level 2 Swim Teaching or Equivalent.

Current First Aid Certificate.

Current Lifeguard or Water Safety Certificate.

10 years home country Police Clearance Certificate.

UAE Police Clearance Certificate.

Driving License (or the ability to get to and from BISAD and Noya)

Min of 2 years teaching experience AND experience of teaching school swimming.

Excellent communication skills.

Good IT skills.

Desirable:

· Additional aquatic discipline qualifications (e.g., Adult & Child, Pre-School, Aqua Therapy, Water Polo/Artistic Swimming).

· Experience working in a high-end members-based fitness centre and developing a swim membership base.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and develop our swimming programme, making a positive impact on participants' skills and confidence in the water.

Working Hours:

48 Hours across 6 days per week.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to AED12,000.00 per month
