Role Overview:

We are looking for a bold and driven Head of Business Development to aggressively expand our market presence and accelerate revenue growth across the payment’s ecosystem in Pakistan. This role is all about winning new business, closing high-value deals, and forging powerful partnerships with banks, FinTechs, PSPs, telcos, and merchants. The ideal candidate is a relentless business and sales leader who thrives on building pipelines, outpacing competitors, and delivering rapid, scalable growth in the fast-moving digital payments industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Leadership:

  • Define and drive the company’s business development strategy aligned with growth ambitions in the payment ecosystem.
  • Lead, coach, and grow a high-performing business development team across Pakistan.
  • Build market intelligence frameworks to anticipate industry shifts and position the company as a leader in payment innovation.
  • Build business models around Third-Party Processing (TPP), BIN sponsorship, and Aggregator/PSP models.
  • Lead the market entry and expansion strategy, aligned with company goals and local regulations. Market Expansion & Client Management
  • Develop and nurture relationships with banks, FinTech, PSPs, telcos, merchants, and other ecosystem stakeholders.
  • Identify, negotiate, and close strategic partnerships that enhance our technology stack, distribution channels, and solution offerings.
  • Explore opportunities for expansion in new markets and segments, leveraging global partnerships.
  • Lead high-value proposals, RFPs, and solution design for large-scale client implementations.
  • Act as the strategic advisor and primary point of contact for key accounts.
  • Revenue, Growth and P&L Management Own the business development pipeline and ensure consistent achievement of revenue targets.
  • Drive consultative selling by aligning client needs with our technology-led, solution-driven offerings.
  • Collaborate with product and technology teams to influence the development of innovative, market-relevant solutions.
  • Take full ownership of the Business Development P&L, driving strategic initiatives to maximize revenue, optimize costs, and deliver sustainable profit growth Cross-Functional Alignment Partner with marketing to craft go-to-market strategies, campaigns, and thought leadership in the payments space.
  • Work with operations and delivery teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and value realization.
  • Provide regular performance reports, revenue forecasts, and business insights to senior leadership.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Technology (MBA preferred)..

10-12 years of progressive experience in the payments, fintech, or financial services industry.

Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role managing business & sales lines and experience in the following areas;

Card Issuing (CMS, digital issuance, EMV)

Merchant Acquiring (POS, e-commerce, TMS)

Card Personalization & Fulfilment

Third-Party Processing (TPP)

On-Prem or Hybrid Technology Deployments

Managed & Outsourced Payment Services Back Office Payment Processing (Reconciliation, Disputes)

Payment Gateway & Aggregator/PSP Business Models

Familiarity with Pakistan’s regulatory environment (SBP, PTA), Local and global schemes (PayPak, Visa, Mastercard, UnionPay, etc.)

Skills & Attributes:

Strong commercial acumen with a deep understanding of payment business models. Ability to lead product and tech discussions with credibility.

Excellent stakeholder and partner management skills.

Strategic thinker with hands-on problem-solving capability.

Strong communication and leadership presence

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From Rs500,000.00 per month
