Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Head of Business Development to lead and expand our global BD operations. The ideal candidate will oversee B2B, B2C, and C2C sales functions, manage staff augmentation strategies, supervise LinkedIn outreach workflows, and guide the Upwork business development team. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and hands-on experience with CRM tools and Agile/Scrum practices.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development Leadership
- Oversee and drive B2B, B2C, and C2C business development operations.
- Lead and manage Staff Augmentation projects and client acquisition strategies.
- Develop and execute effective LinkedIn outreach workflows.
- Supervise and optimize Upwork proposal workflows and team performance.
- Expand and manage the BD team in the USA region, ensuring business scalability.
Team Management & Coordination
- Lead, mentor, and guide BD, C2C, and B2B teams to maximize productivity.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, training, and skill development sessions.
- Ensure smooth coordination between BD, marketing, and technical departments.
Client Management & Outreach
- Build and maintain strong relationships with international clients.
- Oversee the lifecycle of leads—from prospecting to closing.
- Ensure excellent client communication and timely project follow-ups.
Operational Excellence
- Utilize CRM tools for tracking leads, pipeline management, and reporting.
- Apply Scrum/Agile methodologies to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
- Analyze market trends and identify new business opportunities.
- Prepare business development forecasts, reports, and performance metrics.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in Business Development, preferably in IT, SaaS, or Staffing.
- Strong understanding of B2B, B2C, C2C, and Staff Augmentation models.
- Hands-on experience with CRM systems, Upwork, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven leadership, team mentoring, and coordination abilities.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage USA-based BD team and international clientele.
