Head – Marketing & Product Management Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Development & Marketing Head to lead segment marketing, product management, and application support functions. This individual will play a key role in identifying growth opportunities, driving go-to-market strategies, and supporting customers across electric vehicles (EV) and battery energy storage systems (BESS) segments.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background in engineering and business acumen from an MBA, combined with proven experience in the battery or energy storage sector.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Segment Marketing: • Develop and execute marketing strategies tailored to EV and BESS customer segments. • Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats. • Define customer personas, buying behaviors, and value propositions for each segment. • Plan and manage participation in trade shows, industry events, and customer outreach campaigns.
2. Product Management: • Own the lifecycle of lithium-ion cell and battery products—from concept to commercialization. • Collaborate with R&D and production teams to define product specifications aligned with market needs. • Benchmark competitors and lead roadmap planning for product upgrades and new offerings. • Monitor product performance and customer feedback for continuous improvement.
3. Application Support: • Lead a team to provide technical pre-sales and post-sales support to customers. • Act as a bridge between customer needs and internal engineering teams. • Ensure smooth onboarding of new customers through training, documentation, and field support. • Guide customers on optimal battery application design, usage, and safety protocols.
Desired Profile: •
Educational Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering; MBA in Marketing, Strategy, or Business Management. • Experience: 15+ years in business development, product management, or marketing within the energy storage, EV, or allied technology sectors. • Strong understanding of lithium-ion battery technologies, applications, and market dynamics. • Demonstrated leadership in managing cross-functional teams and customer engagement. • Strategic thinker with analytical skills and customer-first mindset.
