Head of Commercial - Lithium Battery & Energy Storage Business
Responsibilities
Market Creation & GTM: Define product–market fit for ESS (Residential, C&I) and selective EV applications; build phased GTM plans and prioritize segments with strong cash realization
Revenue, Margin & Cash Ownership: Deliver targets while protecting margins; structure pricing, enforce credit discipline, and avoid low-margin/high-risk volume
Channel & Distribution Development: Appoint and manage distributors, EPCs, and installers; set channel economics, KPIs, and prevent price erosion/channel conflict
Key Account Leadership: Personally lead strategic EPCs, distributors, institutional customers, and select EV assemblers; manage tenders/RFPs and long-term supply agreements
Sales Organization Build-up: Hire and lead regional sales, key account, and application engineering teams; establish CRM, pipeline governance, and forecasting discipline
Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and finance to align capacity, pricing, deliveries, and market feedback
Requirements
10–15 years overall experience with 7+ years in ESS/lithium batteries/solar/EVs/power electronics/industrial solutions; Engineering degree with MBA (or equivalent commercial exposure) preferred.
Proven track record of launching/ scaling businesses, building sales channels, and selling engineered/technical products
Strong understanding of battery technologies, warranties, degradation, and safety
Strong grasp of Pakistan’s market dynamics and regulatory environment
