Role Summary

Scaleup is retained to appoint a Head of Electrical Engineering for a landmark high-rise development in Islamabad. This is a senior leadership role responsible for full ownership of electrical engineering strategy, execution, compliance, and delivery—from design governance through commissioning and final handover.

The successful candidate will act as the technical authority for all electrical systems, leading multidisciplinary teams while ensuring world-class standards in safety, quality, cost control, and schedule performance.

Key Accountabilities

• Provide end-to-end leadership of all electrical engineering functions for a high-rise project
• Serve as the approving authority for electrical designs, calculations, specifications, and shop drawings
• Ensure flawless execution of MV, LV, and ELV systems, aligned with approved designs and international best practices
• Lead coordination with MEP, civil, architectural teams, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities
• Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, system integration, and operational handover
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and international standards including IEC, NEC, and BS
• Direct preparation and review of BOQs, material submittals, procurement schedules, and technical evaluations
• Maintain strict control over quality, safety, cost, and project timelines
• Lead, mentor, and performance-manage senior engineers, supervisors, and technical teams
• Identify technical and execution risks early and implement robust mitigation strategies
• Represent the electrical discipline in audits, inspections, and high-level technical meetings
• Ensure complete project documentation, testing records, and as-built drawings
• Manage electrical close-out activities and transition to operations
• Define departmental KPIs and drive continuous performance improvement
• Enforce HR and governance standards related to performance, discipline, and professional conduct

Mandatory Expertise

• Proven mastery of high-rise electrical system design and execution
• Deep hands-on experience with MV, LV, and ELV systems
• Strong background in testing, commissioning, and integrated building systems
• Thorough understanding of international safety, quality, and compliance frameworks

• BS Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of high-rise project leadership experience
• OR
• DAE Electrical with 20+ years of progressive, senior-level experience in major projects

Pay: Up to Rs300,000.00 per month
