Head Of Internal Audit

Dawat-e-Islami Trust is seeking a highly competent and experienced professional HOD to lead its Internal Audit function. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in strengthening internal controls, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements, and providing independent assurance to senior management and the Audit Committee.

Role Overview:
The Head of Internal Audit will provide independent assurance on the effectiveness of internal controls, governance, and compliance with applicable laws and internal policies. The role will oversee audit planning, reporting, investigations, and the development of the internal audit team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a risk-based annual internal audit plan.
• Conduct financial, operational, compliance, and special audits.
• Prepare and present audit reports with recommendations to Top Management and the Audit Committee.
• Monitor the implementation of corrective actions on audit observations.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, tax laws, donor requirements, and internal policies.
• Conduct investigations in cases of irregularities.
• Coordinate with external auditors, consultants, and regulatory authorities when required.
• Lead and mentor the Internal Audit team and ensure adherence to professional audit standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

• CA / ACCA / ACMA / CIA / CPA or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in audit, accounting, or risk management.
• At least 5 years in a senior or leadership role in Internal Audit.
• Experience in NGO / Trust / Non-Profit sector will be preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of internal audit, risk management, and internal controls.
• Expertise in financial analysis, compliance, and fraud risk assessment.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and report-writing skills.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
