The Head of IT will lead internal IT operations, infrastructure management, user support, and cybersecurity initiatives across the organization. This role will be responsible for maintaining secure and reliable systems that support a fast-growing engineering organization working on sensitive hardware and software technologies.
Manage day-to-day IT operations including user support, endpoint management, identity management, networking, cybersecurity, and SaaS administration
Administer corporate IT infrastructure including laptops, servers, cloud services, VPNs, wireless networks, and collaboration platforms
Own onboarding and offboarding workflows, asset tracking, access controls, and IT lifecycle management processes
Implement and maintain cybersecurity best practices across endpoints, networks, and cloud environments
Monitor and improve IT security posture, including patch management, endpoint protection, MFA, device compliance, and vulnerability remediation
Partner with leadership on compliance initiatives, security audits, and operational risk reduction efforts
Troubleshoot escalated IT issues and provide hands-on technical support as needed
5+ years of experience in IT administration, IT operations, or infrastructure management
Experience managing corporate IT systems in Linux and macOS environments
Demonstrable experience with Google cloud infrastructure and collaboration platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, Google Workspace, Gemini Enterprise Agent, and similar tools
Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices including MFA, EDR, VPNs, patching, and access control management
Experience supporting engineering or technical organizations
Strong troubleshooting and systems administration skills
Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation abilities
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced startup environment with evolving priorities
Experience working in aerospace, defense, robotics, autonomous systems, or other security-sensitive industries
Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as NIST 800-171, CMMC, SOC 2, or ISO 27001
Experience supporting hybrid cloud/on-prem infrastructure environments
Exposure to DevSecOps, CI/CD infrastructure, and software engineering workflows
