Head of Legal

With a track record of delivering iconic developments and driving growth in one of the world’s most dynamic markets, Azizi is seeking a highly accomplished Head of Legal to join our senior leadership team.

This is a pivotal executive role, responsible for safeguarding the organization’s legal integrity while enabling ambitious growth. As Head of Legal, you will not only lead our Legal Department but also act as a strategic advisor to the Board, shaping policy, mitigating risks, and ensuring that our legal framework supports our continued expansion both locally and globally.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise the Chairman, CEO, Board of Directors, and senior management on critical legal and regulatory issues.
• Lead and develop the Legal Department, ensuring excellence in service delivery and compliance.
• Provide authoritative guidance on corporate and commercial law, real estate development, dispute resolution, and litigation.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts, agreements, and legal submissions.
• Ensure full compliance with corporate governance frameworks; attend Board meetings to advise on legal matters.
• Oversee the settlement of disputes and ensure effective implementation of legal decisions.
• Conduct advanced legal research and analysis to support business strategy.
• Act as the primary liaison with key government authorities, including the Dubai Land Department and Dubai Economic Development Department.

Here's what you need

• Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB) from an accredited university; LLM preferred.
• At least 15 years’ post-qualification experience, with at least 5 years in a senior legal leadership capacity.
• Proven expertise in UAE corporate and commercial law, real estate law, litigation, and dispute resolution.
• Demonstrated ability to provide sound, decisive legal advice at Board level.
• Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage teams effectively.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication abilities.
• Native Arabic speaker preferred, with fluency in English.
