Head of MEP Engineer

Job Summary

The Head of MEP Engineering is responsible for leading and managing all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) engineering functions across projects. This role ensures technical excellence, compliance, efficient resource management, and successful delivery of projects within budget and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all MEP engineering activities across multiple projects.
• Develop and implement MEP strategies, standards, and procedures.
• Review and approve design drawings, shop drawings, and technical submittals.
• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, codes, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal departments.
• Monitor project progress, budgets, and resource allocation for MEP works.
• Provide technical guidance and resolve complex engineering issues.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, and handover processes.
• Establish quality control measures and ensure adherence to safety standards.
• Lead, mentor, and manage MEP engineering teams.
• Participate in project planning, tendering, and cost estimation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in MEP engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Fluent in Arabic and English (written and spoken).
• Strong knowledge of MEP design, execution, and project management.
• Experience in large-scale construction projects (UAE/GCC preferred).
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Engineering or Project Management (preferred).
• Professional certifications (e.g., PMP).
• UAE Driving License.
