Head of Nursing

Purpose of Job:

• Providing direction and coordinating daily activities to maintain proper professional and administrative procedures to meet Nursing standards.

• Ensuring that healthcare facility and nursing objectives, standards of nursing care and practices, policies, and procedures are being implemented in the facility and department.

• Reporting to MCS and Nursing Central Team all the ongoing activities and problems within the facility.

Scope:

• Responsible for all aspects of the administrative, functional, and technical direction of the nursing services provided in the facility to maintain a high standard.

• Making decisions in consultation for administrative issues and the nursing supervisor for technical issues.

• Keeping Nursing informed of the related services rendered, observed, and reinforcement of clinic regulations through scheduled and periodic spot checks of department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise all of the OPD Charge Nurses, Staff Nurses, Assistants, and housekeeping work.
• Conducts clinic meetings to tackle issues affecting staff performance.
• Provide effective counseling and correction of background factors of staff nurses.
• Conduct staff meetings on a monthly basis and keep written minutes.

• Collaborating with the Medical team for doctors’ orientation in the clinic and supporting them on the Peret system.
• Collaborating with client team for complaints and negative feedback investigation and reporting to them.
• Collaborating with client team for Requesting, Receiving, and distributing customers’ gifts.
• Quality and infection control.
• Maintain Compliance to infection control guidelines such as proper handwashing & standard Precautions.
• Responsible for collecting, analyzing and reporting of KPIs and performing corrective actions if any.
• Round with quality doctor during quality audit.
• Conduct orientation program for the new staff.
• Attend management meetings with the direct supervisor on regular basis ensures that all staff is committed to nursing instructions.
• Maintain work environment (clean, organized and Nate) considering safety and infection control measures.
• Ensuring compliance with Nursing Team KPIs 24. Implementing and following the daily Nursing checklist form.
• All nursing department to ensure consistent implementation of technical workflow, process, procedures, and policies, medico legal attendance, and incorporate the surgical consent and financial clearance forms.
• Maintain records on clinical and other data and submit reports.
• Daily rounds ensure that all duties done.

Job expectations:

• Nurse will be able to work based on rotational shifts so that the workload is kept fair to everyone/ colleagues.

• Ability to work flexible days and hours, including weekends and public holidays.

• Company operates shift patterns & rosters that are designed around the needs of the business and medical center.

• Weekends could be subject to change each month but will be advising the employee of the roster/schedule update in advance.

• Nurse could be relocated or assigned to another center/location based on business needs & performance, either temporarily or permanently, and employee will be informed in advance and will be fully aligned with the management.

• Punctuality: Responsible for arriving to work on time.

• Wearing company required full uniform according to management instructions and internal dress code policy.

• Ensure full attendance & completion of training course provided by the company.
