Head of Oil and Gas Operations

The Head of Oil and Gas Operations is responsible for leading and overseeing all operational activities across oil and gas production, processing, maintenance, and field services. The role ensures safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of operations while meeting production targets, regulatory requirements, and company objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day oil and gas operations across upstream, midstream, or downstream assets.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve productivity, reliability, and asset performance.
• Oversee production planning, maintenance, shutdowns, and turnaround activities.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Manage budgets, cost control, and operational KPIs.
• Supervise multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Coordinate with engineering, HSE, logistics, procurement, and finance teams.
• Monitor risk, incident response, and emergency preparedness.
• Identify process improvements and drive operational efficiency.
• Report operational performance to senior leadership.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, petroleum, mechanical, chemical, or a related field.
• 10 to 15+ years of experience in oil and gas operations, with senior leadership exposure.
• Strong knowledge of production systems, maintenance, HSE, and compliance.
• Proven experience managing large teams and complex field operations.
• Strong budgeting, planning, and stakeholder management skills.

Pay: QAR60.00 - QAR90.00 per hour
