Hiring: Head of Operations (Logistics) – My Right Hand

I’ve been in logistics for 30+ years. I know the business, I know how to solve problems, and I know what good looks like.

What I don’t want to do anymore is run the day-to-day.

I’m looking for someone who can take ownership of operations and become my right hand—someone I trust to run the business alongside me.

What This Role Is

You will take full ownership of daily logistics operations:

• Dispatch, execution, and team performance
• Carrier management and cost control
• Customer service and issue resolution
• Process improvement and accountability

If something breaks, you own it.
If something needs to be fixed, you fix it.
If I’m getting pulled into daily problems, something is wrong.

What I’m Looking For

• Someone who has actually run logistics operations—not just managed tasks
• A strong decision-maker who doesn’t need constant direction
• Someone who holds people accountable and builds a solid team
• A problem-solver who sees issues early and handles them

What This Is NOT

• Not a coordinator role
• Not a “manage and report” position
• Not for someone who escalates everything upward

What Success Looks Like

• The operation runs smoothly without me involved in the day-to-day
• Problems are solved before I hear about them
• The team performs at a higher level
• Costs are controlled and service improves

Experience

• 5+ years in logistics / freight / transportation
• Experience leading teams and owning outcomes
• Strong understanding of TMS and daily execution

Compensation

Competitive base + performance-based bonus tied to operational results.

Pay: $87,421.13 - $120,000.00 per year
