Head of Procurement

Location: Kingdom of Bahrain

The Head of Procurement will lead the strategic and operational procurement function for civil and infrastructure projects in Bahrain. Responsible for ensuring timely, cost-effective, and compliant procurement to support project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business and project goals.
• Oversee tendering, negotiation, and subcontract award for all civil and infrastructure procurement packages.
• Manage and evaluate suppliers and subcontractors for performance and compliance.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and relevent regulations.
• Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals across project sites and the head office.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and finance to ensure aligned procurement execution.
• Develop & Monitor procurement KPIs, budgets, and cost-saving initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Supply Chain, or related field. CIPS, PMP, or equivalent certifications are advantageous.
• 10–15 years of procurement experience in the construction industry with 5+ years in leadership.
• Experience with Bahrain projects is preferred.
• Excellent negotiation and contract development skills.
• Knowledge of local suppliers, logistics, and regulatory environment.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Oracle).
• Strong leadership, planning, and interpersonal skills.
