Head Of Procurement & Supply Chain

To lead and manage the entire procurement and supply-chain functions, ensuring timely, cost-effective and compliant sourcing of materials, equipment and services for construction projects, while optimizing logistics, inventory and supplier performance to support on-schedule project delivery and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement & supply-chain strategy aligned with business goals, project timelines and budget requirements.
• Lead procurement of construction materials, equipment, sub-contracts and services – including vendor selection, negotiations, contracting, purchase orders, terms and conditions.
• Oversee supply-chain operations: inbound logistics, warehousing, inventory management, site deliveries, vendor performance, quality assurance.
• Manage supplier relationships: build and maintain a reliable supplier base, evaluate vendor capability, performance metrics (quality, delivery, cost, sustainability).
• Drive cost reduction and value improvement: identify opportunities for savings, standardisation, bulk-buying, alternative sourcing, local/global sourcing mix.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, contract and company policies: supplier contracts, procurement ethics, sustainability, safety standards.
• Coordinate with project management, design, operations, finance and site teams to ensure procurement and logistics support project schedules, cost control and quality standards.
• Implement and leverage technology/tools (ERP, procurement software, inventory tracking, dashboards) to enhance visibility, control, data-driven decision making.
• Manage risk in supply-chain: identify supply disruptions, contingencies, alternative suppliers, buffer stocks, logistics bottlenecks.
• Lead, develop and mentor the procurement & supply-chain team. Set KPIs, objectives, performance reviews and continuous improvement culture.
• Reporting: prepare and present regular reports to senior management on procurement spend, supplier performance, inventory status, savings achieved, supply-chain metrics.

• On-time delivery rate of materials/services to site
• Supplier performance score (quality, delivery, cost)
• Inventory turnover / days of inventory on hand
• Number of supply-chain disruptions & their impact
• Compliance rate (contracts, legal, safety, sustainability)
• Team productivity and development metrics

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field. A Master’s/MBA is desirable.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in procurement / supply chain in construction, infrastructure or engineering environment.
• Proven track record of managing procurement of large‐scale construction materials, equipment and services and handling logistics / supply-chain in a construction setting.
• Strong negotiating skills, vendor management and contracting experience.
• Experience in implementing procurement systems, supply-chain optimization and use of technology/ERP tools.
• Robust analytical, financial, data-driven mindset. Ability to interpret cost/metrics and influence senior stakeholders.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, able to drive change and build high‐performing teams.
• Good knowledge of regulatory/legal issues relevant to procurement, contracts, logistics, import/export (if applicable) and sustainability practices.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English; Hindi.
• Willingness to travel to construction sites across Delhi/NCR/India as required.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
