ACCELERATING YOUR FUTURE

As Head of Strategic Marketing, you will be a key leader within Wheeler’s Commercial team, reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). This role demands strategic thinking, clear communication, resourcefulness, and the ability to drive both high-level planning and hands-on execution.

You will own Wheeler’s global marketing strategy—covering brand positioning, scientific messaging, digital campaigns, and events—ensuring alignment with commercial priorities and business development objectives. This is an opportunity to build and lead a high-performing marketing function that drives visibility, lead generation, and measurable business impact.


HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Strategic Planning and Commercial Alignment

  • Define and execute the marketing strategy aligned with company growth objectives, pipeline priorities, and corporate goals.
  • Translate business objectives into actionable marketing plans, campaigns, and performance metrics.
  • Partner with the CCO, Business Development, and Commercial Operations teams to ensure marketing directly supports lead generation and sales enablement.

Branding & Scientific Messaging

  • Own and protect Wheeler’s brand voice and positioning across all channels and materials.
  • Refine value proposition, competitive positioning, and go-to-market strategy using data-driven insights.
  • Collaborate with subject-matter experts to ensure scientific accuracy and audience relevance.
  • Develop technical and scientific collateral, including presentations, white papers, case studies, brochures, and web content.
  • Conduct competitive analysis of market dynamics, pricing, and marketing strategies.
  • Support sales through collateral development, customer visits, speaking engagements, webinars, and trade shows.
  • Maintain relationships with media and ensure appropriate responses to press inquiries.


Campaign Strategy & Digital Marketing

  • Design and execute multi-channel campaigns (email, social, SEO/SEM, paid media) to generate qualified leads and meet BD targets.
  • Monitor ROI, engagement, and conversion metrics, refining strategies for optimal performance.
  • Build internal digital marketing capabilities to minimize reliance on external vendors.
  • Leverage all relevant marketing channels to maximize brand visibility and drive revenue growth.


Events, Conferences & Scientific Engagement

  • Develop and execute event strategies for sponsorships, conferences, and trade shows.
  • Define event objectives, messaging, booth design, and lead capture workflows.
  • Ensure alignment with broader commercial and scientific engagement plans.


Marketing Analytics

  • Establish and track KPIs (MQLs, campaign ROI, engagement metrics, market reach).
  • Analyze market trends, customer behaviors, and competitor activities to inform strategy.
  • Provide regular reporting to the CCO and leadership team on marketing impact and contribution to revenue generation.

Cross-Function Collaboration

  • Act as marketing liaison for Business Development, Operations, Project Management, Technical, and Quality teams.
  • Co-develop campaigns with subject-matter experts and align priorities with BD for maximum impact.
  • Integrate marketing efforts with sales enablement and marketing automation platforms.


Agency & Vendor Management

  • Select, manage, and evaluate external agencies and vendors, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with brand objectives.
  • Negotiate contracts, manage deliverables, and monitor performance.
  • Own and track the marketing budget, ensuring efficiency and measurable ROI.

Budget Management

  • Own and track marketing budget allocation across campaigns, events, digit activities and agency partnerships.
  • Ensure budget efficience and measurable ROI from all investments
  • Collect and analyze market data for the company and determine target segment for the company’s core services as it impacts lead generation and revenue
  • Partner with Business Development to drive strong alignment on campaign strategy, execution, lead generation, and win-rate objectives in addition to ensuring effective integration of sales enablement and marketing automation platforms.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Director of Strategic Marketing is a driven and ambitious marketer and partner working with the Wheeler Bio commercial team with a priority focus on lead generation. In this role he/she is responsible for leading, developing, and executing strategic initiatives that support Wheeler Bio’s service offering. This person will work closely with the entire Wheeler team to articulate our solutions into clear and seamless offering(s) with clear and executable go-to-market strategies directed to potential and existing customers. This is a strategic role that requires applying account-based marketing, market knowledge, and an ability to articulate Wheeler’s technical capabilities and elevate our scientific depth while emphasizing a customer centric mindset. This person must identify the optimal way to position and diversify our High Science/High Touch approach that ultimately delivers measurable lead generation. Create an environment of strong team spirit, timely and effective communications, sense of urgency, high motivation and inspire team to achieve project goals.
