Head Of Strategy

The purpose of this role is to manage senior strategists and planner/junior on day-to-day client strategy needs on a single account or group of accounts – guiding insight generation, creative briefs, selling narratives, strategic POVs and go-to market plans

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
  • Define and lead the overall strategy for new pitches and all current accounts.
  • Build frameworks rooted in cultural insights and consumer behavior
  • Partner with creative, production, and client servicing teams to ensure strategy informs execution.
  • Identify growth opportunities in emerging platforms, content formats, and audience segments.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of strategists, planners, and analysts.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, curiosity, and insight-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure the team delivers compelling strategies, pitches, and recommendations consistently.
Client & Stakeholder Management
  • Act as the senior strategy lead for key clients, ensuring business goals are translated into content strategies.
  • Lead presentations, workshops, and strategic conversations with clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Build long-term relationships by positioning Dentsu Amplifi as a trusted strategic partner.
Research & Insights
  • Leverage data and analytics to optimize performance and refine future content strategies.
  • Stay ahead of digital, cultural, and social media trends to keep Dentsu’s work future-forward.
Integration & Innovation
  • Ensure seamless integration of strategy across creative, influencer, content and media functions.
  • Introduce new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to strengthen our strategic capabilities.
  • Champion experimentation with new formats, technologies, and audience engagement models.
Key Skills & Competencies
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking with a creative mindset.
  • Deep understanding of social media ecosystems, short-form video, and audience behavior.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong storytelling and presentation skills for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to balance long-term brand thinking with short-term performance metrics.
  • Confident in managing senior client relationships and high-stakes conversations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or related field.
10–12 years of experience
