Pay10 Egypt will bring cutting-edge digital payment solutions to businesses and consumers, including payment gateway services, merchant acquiring, cross-border transfers, and open finance capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Strategy & Execution

• Define and execute the Egypt technology roadmap in line with Pay10’s global strategy and CBE regulatory framework.
• Oversee all technical activities including product development, integrations, data, and infrastructure for Pay10 Egypt’s PSP platform.
• Ensure strong alignment with Pay10’s global technology and product teams for platform interoperability and innovation.

Architecture & Product Engineering

• Lead the buildout of Pay10’s Egypt payment platform, covering acquiring, issuing, WPS, wallets, payment gateway, and cross-border functionalities.
• Design secure, scalable microservices-based architectures, ensuring compliance-by-design and high system availability.
• Implement modular architecture supporting future expansion across MENA and Africa.

Leadership & Team Management

• Build and lead a local engineering and DevOps team in Egypt; mentor developers, QA, and solution architects.
• Foster a culture of security-first development, agility, and innovation.
• Serve as a key decision-maker for infrastructure, vendor partnerships, and technical strategy.

Compliance, InfoSec & Risk

• Ensure technical readiness for CBE audits, PCI-DSS, and data protection standards.
• Oversee security controls including access management, encryption, monitoring, and incident response.
• Work with global and local Risk, Compliance, and InfoSec teams on fraud prevention, AML/CTF systems, and data governance.

Platform Operations & DevOps

• Maintain high platform reliability (99.9% uptime), fast CI/CD deployments, and robust observability.
• Lead cloud infrastructure strategy (preferably AWS or hybrid), ensuring scalability, disaster recovery, and cost optimization.
• Establish proactive monitoring and incident management processes aligned with SLAs.

Stakeholder & Partner Management

• Collaborate with local banks, card schemes, payment facilitators, APM providers, and vendors to expand Pay10 Egypt’s PSP ecosystem.
• Represent the technology function in CBE, partner, and internal steering meetings.
• Drive local integrations and partnerships to enhance product capabilities and market reach.

Qualifications & Experience

• 10–15 years of technology leadership experience, with at least 5 years in fintech, digital payments, or PSPs.
• Proven track record in building or scaling payment systems (acquiring, issuing, wallet, or gateway).
• Deep understanding of CBE regulations, PCI-DSS, ISO20022, SWIFT, Open Banking APIs, and Egypt’s local payment ecosystem (Meeza, Instapay, etc.).
• Experience working with CBE licensing processes and local banking integrations is highly advantageous.
• Technical expertise in Java/.NET/Golang, microservices, Kubernetes, APIs, event-driven systems, and modern database technologies (SQL/NoSQL).
• Experience managing cross-border platform integrations or regional fintech rollouts preferred.
• Fluent in English and Arabic (business and technical communication).
