Role Overview:

The position is responsible for leading and managing the Back Office of the Functional Services Department, ensuring effective service delivery in line with DEL’s vision and corporate objectives. The role oversees operational performance, cash flow preparation and reporting, compliance with accounting, legal, taxation, and regulatory frameworks, while driving cost optimization, business continuity, and internal customer satisfaction. It requires building strong cross-divisional relationships, monitoring KPIs, SOPs, and SLAs, and providing the CFO with timely financial insights to support informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage payroll, ERP/SAP data, ensuring accuracy, timely updates, security of employee records, and facilitation to divisions and corporate functions, while supporting auditors with verified information.
  • Oversee IT operations including infrastructure upgrades, hardware/software support, helpdesk, internet access controls, security, and disaster recovery to ensure effective and secure use of organizational IT resources.
  • Ensure smooth functioning of accounting operations including receipts, payments, financial reporting, and compliance with statutory audits; strengthen internal controls, address audit gaps, and report irregularities to the Audit Committee and Board.
  • Manage payroll disbursements, taxation, employee benefits, and oversee financial affairs of JVs while providing advisory on tax planning and establishing tax-efficient structures.
  • Direct treasury operations including SAP TRM data maintenance, reconciliations, bank master data, guarantees, and archival of records; manage treasury dashboards, liquidity forecasts, insurance processes, and ensure compliance with treasury policies and risk frameworks.
  • Drive cash flow planning, monitoring of funded/non-funded facilities, and recommend cash optimization measures to reduce borrowing and strengthen financial controls.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team by mentoring, motivating, and developing staff; ensure performance management, succession planning for key positions, competitive remuneration, and a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; professional certifications (CA, ACCA, CPA, CFA, CIMA) preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in finance, treasury, IT, and payroll, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in leading shared services or global business services (GBS) environments.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams and implementing process excellence frameworks (Lean Six Sigma preferred).
