The Senior Health & Safety Engineer supports the effective implementation of Titan Egypt’s Health & Safety (H&S) standards across the assigned site/plant. The role focuses on day-to-day safety operations, conducting inspections, monitoring compliance, and providing technical guidance to ensure a safe working environment.
He/She contributes to incident prevention by identifying hazards, supporting risk mitigation measures, and promoting safe behaviors among employees and contractors.
Responsibilities / المسؤوليات:
Conduct routine safety inspections, walkdowns, and monitoring activities.
Identify unsafe conditions and follow up with responsible departments on corrective actions.
Ensure proper implementation of permit-to-work systems and risk assessments.
Support emergency response drills and preparedness plans.
Report incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions promptly in the system.
Participate in initial incident investigations and assist in root cause analysis.
Follow up on corrective and preventive actions to ensure closure.
Deliver toolbox talks, safety orientations, and awareness sessions for employees and contractors.
Promote a proactive safety culture through coaching and engagement activities.
Ensure employees understand PPE rules, safe work procedures, and site regulations.
Ensure compliance with Titan Group H&S standards and local safety regulations.
Support internal and external audits through documentation, evidence preparation, and field support.
Participate in periodic inspections by regulatory authorities as needed.
Maintain accurate records for inspections, permits, forms, and safety activities.
Prepare daily/weekly safety reports on observations, KPIs, and high-risk activities.
Provide data and insights to the HSE Manager for analysis and improvements.
Monitor contractors’ compliance with safety standards during site activities.
Conduct safety inductions and review risk assessments/work instructions.
Ensure contractors’ adherence to safe work practices throughout the job.
Qualifications / المؤهلات:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety, or a related field.
Experience: 3–5 years in HSE roles, preferably in the cement or heavy industrial field.
Certifications: NEBOSH IGC or equivalent qualification preferred.
Skills: Strong knowledge of risk assessment, safety procedures, incident reporting, Egyptian safety regulations, and ISO 45001. Effective communication and attention to detail.
